i want to get pro tools 8 but it says it's an upgrade. do i have to already have a different pro tools and update to number 8. or can i go to the degidesign website and just pay and hit download on the pro tools 8 upgrade?
i was also considering fl studio which is cheaper. with fl can you punch in and out when recording? and which would you recommend?
