Ok ive just bought cubase essential 4 and a M-AUDIO KEYSTATION 49e keyboard. I have installed cubase and everything but when i open up cubase i cannot just start using the keyboard. How do i get cubase to reconise my keyboard as an instrument.

I have an Alesis Micron and a Mini Mac. How much would a legit program cost? Also, Im still confused with the MIDI cable deal. I went to radio shack and all they had were 5 PIN DIN Male to 5 PIN DIN Male and I'm pretty sure my Mini Mac doesn't have those inserts. Do I still buy this to edit my synth patches on my Mac? Or do I have to buy MIDI USB cables?

This thing (rear picture with MIDI through port, MIDI channel selector and LED intensity control) drives a bar of LEDs placed on top of a regular or electronic piano keyboard. MIDI messages play a MIDI melody through the electronic piano or a MIDI box and also drive the MIDI Piano Instructor which turns on and off the LEDs according to the notes played.

Yes you can as its based around the DONGLE security and the SERIAL number - HOWEVER they will NOT be able to receive support from Steinberg as the registration details are in YOUR NAME !
I suggest you call Steinberg and find out if its possible to RE-REgister the software in someone elses name.

hey, I have a Casio CKT 900 keyboard and it has the MIDI in and out port, and I am looking to set up a midi connection. My usb interface is line 6 toneport GX. My interface only has one connection hole and that is only a connection that jack leads can be connected to....But I know you can get a adapter for that.
I'm just asking what would you need for it to setup?

When I'm doing sequencing on Cubase Studio 5 it is constantly glitching on playback.
Is the problem that I don't have enough RAM/high enough Processor Speed?
I have 3Gb of RAM and a 2.1GHz proccessing speed.

Hey there. I just hooked up my MIDI Keyboard to my computer to use it in FL Studio, but there's always a delay between me pressing a key, and the sound coming from my computer. The MIDI input light in FL is exactly synced with my key hits, but the sound takes like half a second to play.

I'm trying to play audio files (radio programs I've produced in the past) using various audio players - Windows Media, iTunes, etc. and record them into my audio recording software program (Cubase SL v2) but the built-in mic picks up room noise, etc. at the same time. If I turn the mic volume down it also turns down the internal audio so that I'm not recording anything. Can anyone
