What can I say... it was raining and I didn't want to get out of bed. So I wrote this sad song. The entire rig is completely portable. The PCR-300 is connected via the CCK to a USB hub. That in turn is powered by a portable Li-Ion battery pack. One of the advantages of using an external midi controller is that you play over the smart instruments.
