I want to know if i can use it as a MIDI controller? Can I use the knobs to control effects too?

Answer by DJDaveOttYes. You can map all the pads, sliders and knobs. I have the MPD24.
Click the midi button on the top of the software, then click the button on the software you want to control, then push a button on the Akai. Repeat until you have everything mapped. Click the midi button when you are finished, and
